As you might know, 20th of November is World Children’s Day; this day was first established in 1954 to advocate and raise awareness around the rights of children. Since then, many good changes happened to improve children’s welfare; in many directions, the situation got better- for example, less mortality rates and increased access to education… However, one thing has been getting worse and worse: the environment!
Children have the right to be worried about their future; the more we deal with this issue irresponsibly, the more we make it difficult for the next generations to survive. Access to basic necessities including adequate food, shelter and clothing is a fundamental right of a child.. Where are we getting all of these? Of course, mother nature is kind enough to help us fulfil the rights of our children, but if we don’t act now, we might not be able to ensure a bright future for our kids and other generations; Instead, we will be leaving them an endless struggle for the basic necessities! Let’s start today.. Let’s allow the future generations to enjoy this beautiful planet and advance human civilisation, not to fight over food, water, shelter and clothing!
